This mega site is the online home of the prolific Valley porn studio, Shane's World, which gained recent fame for its College Invasion series.
We always thought the Shane's World name was a porno style rip off of Mike Meyers' landmark movie Wayne's World, since it channels the same exuberant energy of the movie, but the truth is that the company was started in 1996 by Seymore Butt's ex-girlfriend, Shane, who lent her name to the business before selling out and retiring several years ago. The company is one of the pioneers of "gonzo" style porn, which refers to the hand held documentary style of photography that dominates most porn movies today.
Shane's World gained mainstream notoriety several years ago with the release of Shane's World 32: Campus Invasion. The media frenzy that followed that trip to a college campus landed the company on network television news shows. Rolling Stone magazine gave Shane's World a four-page spread. College Invasion has since become its own series, with its own site (which is included with your membership). The studio claims it gets hundreds of invitation letters a month from fraternities across the country that want them to come to their schools. The company has won several awards and is consistently nominated for excellence at the annual AVN awards (the porn industry's answer to the Oscars).
Unfortunately, the online home of Shane's World is hardly worthy of the excellent porn this company produces. It would be kind to call this a giant confusing mess, filled with upsells for the DVDs, and some of the most obscure and confusing online navigation Sir Rodney has ever had the misfortune to navigate. There is a plethora of channels, including one for each of the studio's series, along with a number of original web series (we think) like "Angelina, Diary of a Young Slut," which features 12 movies, downloadable in 1-6 slugs, with shitty useless previews, although the scenes themselves are quite good. Other original web series include Pillowbiters, Road Head, and Soccer Moms, but those "channels" only have a handful of movies between them. Most infuriatingly, the site forces you to re-log in every time you launch your media player.
The good news is that there is a lot of downloadable action in the signature style of Shane's World, perhaps as many as several hundred movies. It's impossible to say how many are actual movies and how many are just clips and upsells. There's gobs and gobs of both, all very poorly labeled, with lousy previews, so you just have to pick your way through the chaff to find the proverbial good stuff. Sir Rodney's woody says it's worth it, but there are better ways to get good porn online. Lots of 'em.

Shane's World site represents a giant misunderstanding of the web, and should be scrapped, in our opinion. The company needs to create a simple platform for downloading its excellent porn, rather than this confusing mess. Fortunately, there is a full-access, five-day trial along with bountiful extras, like full download access to College Invasion, which will allow you to get the best out of this site at a very cheap price.
