Lets say they have 1000 members online at the same time downloading movies at a pretty standard US 1 Mbit/s connection, they need a 1000 Mbit/s pipe out to handle this traffic, well do they?, i dont think so...so its no wonder it goes down to a crawl. Nowadays many europeans (who are 1-2 years ahead of the US when it comes to internet connections) have a 10 Mbit/s up to 100Mbit/s! internet connections from their home, so do the math...just 10 members with a 100Mbit/s connection would be enough to fill up their pipe. Of course they can, and definitely do limit the bandwidth per user, possibly to 200-300 kbit/s this way they can at least make it work pretty ok most of the time. So when they claim there is no "download limit" they are not telling you the truth, since they sure use a bandwidth limit per user. They have a good amount of updates each day with a great selection of videos for just about anyone and at $9.95 per month for low to high quality downloads or $14.95 for high def (definitely worth it for high def). I cleared my cache//renewed my ip//and did everything else I could think of to try and speed things up. Nothing worked. This site might be the rip-off site of the internet. I submitted 2 reports of the slow speed to their tech support but got no response back. My video works PERFECTLY with other sites, so I know it can't be my computer. I took more than one week to cancel, but I wish I had that $10 bill anyway:( Sir Rodney's Comment: This is the problem with being the best value on the Internet: on the weekend and at night, everyone wants in. Without question, download speed is the bain of this otherwise excellent offering. Zoke, if you, or anyone else who joined Videobox based on Sir Rodney's recommendation, wants their money back, Sir Rodney will personally give you a refund. I can download from other sites just fine, at great speeds, but this one is disappointing. High quality content, though.
